Susan Omillian- Jose Feliciano’s wife

Susan Omillian is the wife of Jose Feliciano. Susan Omillian’s husband Feliciano is a Puerto Rican musician, singer and composer accurate recognized for his international songs, including his version of Doors’ “Light My Fire” and the top-selling holiday single “Feliz Navidad”.

Susan Omillian is the second woman that the Puerto Rican Musician got married to. Prior to Susan, Jose was Janna (nee Hilda Perez). Feliciano got divorced from his first wife in the year 1978.

What happened when the two lovers meet, begin their romance which later led to the union? Jose Feliciano met Susan Omillian who was a student at the age of 18 at the University of Michigan in Detroit, Michigan in August 1971. After forming a friendship and dating for over 11 years, they got married in 1982.

The couple were married in a lovely ceremony that was attended by their families, friends as well as their loved ones. They have three kids: Melissa, a daughter Melissa and two brothers, Jonathan and Michael.

Susan was born in Detroit and was introduced to Ernie Harwell during the controversy regarding Feliciano’s rendition of National Anthem in 1968. Harwell was Harwell who introduced Susan to Feliciano. She and her family live in Weston, Connecticut.

Susan Omillian Susan Omillian it’s the same Susan who was the first fan group of Jose Feliciano back in 1968. She was introduced to him three years later, after his famous national anthem performance in Detroit.

In the days when Jose Feliciano sang the anthem there were people from Detroit such as 14-year-old Susan Omillian, adored hearing the new music to the old song.

“I had class. While driving back home, I was informed that something was going on in the baseball park,” Susan Omillian tells. “People were talking in the streets and on porches , and on the streets along the route. After I arrived back home, while watching the news they showed a short clip of a man playing guitar, and singing an national anthem that no one else had seen before. Then it was like, “Wow, this is awesome.’

“There there was a lot of negative that I thought was unneeded and unjustifiable. I don’t know. If you’re a 14 year old, what does he or she do? When I was a kid If you’re like me, you would start a fan club.”

“By the time the week was over, the man was eating dinner at my home,” Susan Omillian says. “And we visited Boblo -an amusement park. My dad was in hospitals at that point, it was his desire come visit. So, he took an instrument to give him an appearance at the hospital.”
