Career
As we mentioned previously the fact that Kahoano was a finalist for the ABC television show “Making” the Band in 2000 which was the beginning of the boy group O-Town. Kahoano was forced to leave the group in order in order to return to his home in Hawaiiand and was replaced with Dan Miller. Kahoano was then transferred from Hawaii to New York City and formed the boy group LMNT together with Bryan Chan and Mike Miller as well as finalist from The Making of the Band. The group released their All Sides album “All Sides” in 2002.
As actor Kahoano was most well-known for his role on the screen in Supergator (2007), The Curse of the Zombie Pirates and Camp Slaughter (2005). Kahoano is the current owner of the website Model-fit Hawaii which promotes a diet and exercise program.
In 2001 the year 2001, an aspiring superstar Matthew Morrison joined the band and made it the quartet. However Morrison resigned after one year and became replaced with Jonas Persch. The band was the one responsible for the group’s only album All Sides (2002).
The five members of LMNT first met as possible contestants to be part of ABC’s Making the Band reality show in 2000. Many youngsters auditioned to be part of what became known as the boy group O-Town. Hawaii born Ikaika Kahoano had been originally selected to be one of five contestants but he later resigned because of an unspecified dispute.
The trio decided to form their own group after they were joined by fellow second-placed singer Bryan Chan and bass vocalist Mike Miller. The year 2001 saw Matthew Morrison, later on on the show Glee joined LMNT. It was in the early spring of 2002 that LMNT was the headliner of Linda Creed’s Breast Cancer Foundation Benefit concert at South Jersey.
In honor of the honored guests Motown legendary Richard Street, formerly of The Temptations, the group performed live a capella version to Papa Was A Rolling Stone. On the cover debut issue of the entertainment magazine R&B Showcase magazine included LMNT as well as Richard Street the same year.
LMNT tour throughout the United States in the summer of 2002, as part of The Pop Till You Drop! Tour, a tour of 30 dates featuring A*Teens along with other acts like Baha Men and Play.
Ikaika Kahoano, and LMNT also performed for large crowds during The 2002 A Time for Heroes Carnival in Los Angeles, California, to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Foundation for AIDS. Also, they recorded own versions of “A Whole New World” from Disney’s Aladdin for the Disneymania 2 CD and “Open Your Eyes (To Love)” for the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack.
in 2002 the group was in high school at various locations throughout the United States as part of the Clear Channel Communications competition, including Immaculata High School in Marrero, Louisiana. Their hit song “Juliet” is also included on the Lizzie McGuire episode “Lizzie in the Middle” where she is a sexy match for TV actor Frankie Muniz.
The group recently were featured in a music clip for their track “It’s just You,” which appears on the Kim Possible soundtrack. The time was when Mike Miller, Bryan Chan as well as Jonas Persch were the only members of the group. The group broke up in 2003. However, a few members continued to pursue different interests.
