In March of 2016 she’d had the equivalent of 95 liters blood. “I receive three bags every two weeks, which means there are three people, which is three blood donors that keep me alive for couple of weeks,” Kelly told Global News. If I didn’t receive transfusions, I could be in organ failure and, within 6 weeks or a month I’d be dead.”
The woman, who was then 30, said she had a good and active lifestyle until an annual testing of blood showed some baffling numbers.”My iron levels were at zero, and then my doctor] said that my hemoglobin levels were very low.” states Ronahan. “I did not really be aware at the time of what hemoglobin actually was and the doctor explained that it was simply the blood in my body.”
A former Okanagan College student and ballet teacher/dancer said that her life has been put in limbo. Each week her body is continuing to weaken, which is reducing her energy levels during the conversation with Global News.
Kelly’s condition got worse despite blood transfusions she received to save her life. Her illness prevented her from being ballet instructor for a second time. “I’m nervous about the future as, every time I receive a transfusion I’m becoming more sensitive of blood.” Kelly said.
Kelly’s story was a source of admiration from the internet who showed her support and affection each time she posted an update. Kelly Ronahan became involved with an organization for blood donation to help encourage people to give blood.
Ronahan Kelly was hospitalized for seizures in July, 2016. The doctors released her following finding she was fakeing the seizures.
A blood drive was organized in her honour following her admission. After informing the public about the results of the doctor’s report Kelly continued to receive help. A number of blood drives were organized in honor of Kelly throughout the year.
The appearance of Kelly on the local television station was a confirmation that she was in serious ill health and needed help to get through.
Kelly’s port was infected the early part of 2017 resulting in sepsis. Sepsis refers to the body’s extreme reaction to infection. It’s a potentially dangerous medical emergency. Sepsis occurs when an infection you have causes an inflammatory chain reaction across your body. Sepsis-related infections typically begin in the the urinary tract, skin or the gastrointestinal tract.
Ronahan disclosed to her fans that she struggled with eating disorders and exercise disorders. She also stated that she suffered injuries to herself prior to getting sick, however the injuries she revealed were not older than.

Kelly Ronahan’s condition worsened as the years progressed and the scabs began to grow into larger wounds. When she started having seizures and developing skin blisters in her hands the medical mystery grew more complex.
Doctors are worried about damaged nerves as cuts on her legs are becoming more obvious. Kelly’s mental health has been harmed due to the negative comments she was subjected to on social media.
As her condition deteriorated as her condition worsened, the pictures she shared became more difficult to see. Then she informed her followers that she was confirmed to have an autoimmune condition by a medical professional. She was treated with skin grafts 2019 and was able to show improvement.
In the early part of April 2019 she took to her Instagram and announced that she had completed her first run in months , and was thrilled over it. Kelly posted:
“It was so uncomfortable after being held in my legs too long. I’m admittedly very pain-prone today, and I am loving it! I’ve been in an uneasy place for so long, much time. The mind keeps trying to get me out. What could happen if this happens again or, what if it is just a dream, and I awake with rotten legs?”
