Annie Mae Keith is the mother of Eartha Kitt. The daughter of Annie Mae Keith Kitt had a career as an American actor, singer and comedian. She was also a dancer, comedian and activist, best recognized for her recordings from “C’est Si Bon” as well as the Christmas popular song “Santa Baby.”
It is unknown what happened to her mother Eartha Kitt, Annie Mae. According to Eartha’s daughter’s website, Annie Mae was from Cherokee in addition to African descent. Although there is know about who her father was, she noted that Kitt was the father of the man who owned the farm on which she was born as well as that Kitt was born by and raped.
In a biography from 2013, British journalist John Williams stated that Kitt’s father was white man who was a local doctor by the name of Daniel Sturkie. Kitt’s sister, Kitt McDonald Shapiro, has raised doubts about the authenticity of the assertion.

After the demise of Annie Mae, Eartha was taken in with a close relative known as Mamie Kitt (who may, in actual fact be the mother of her birth) at Harlem, New York City in which she was a student at Harlem, New York City. She attended the Metropolitan Vocational High School (later changed its name to The High School of Performing Arts).

Kitt was first noticed in the year 1942. She was in the first Broadway show of Carib Song in 1945. She scored Six US Top 30 hits in the 1950s in the beginning which included “Uska Dara” and “I Want to be Evil.” Other hit songs included “Under the Bridges of Paris” (1954), “Just an Old Fashioned Lady” (1956) and “Where Is My Man” (1957). (1983). She was in 1967 when she portrayed Catwoman on the show’s third season and finale season of TV show Batman.
The daughter of Annie Mae Keith Eartha was married to John William McDonald, an associate of an investment firm in real estate the 6th of June, 1960 after having relations in the past with cosmetics conglomerate Charles Revson and banking heir John Barry Ryan III.
Kitt McDonald Their sole child was born on the 26th of November in 1961. He was received a baptism as a Catholic at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. After 1965, Kitt was divorced from her husband, McDonald divorced. Annie Mae Keith’s child Kitt passed away from the colon cancer at Christmas in 2008 just three weeks before her 82nd birthday. She died at her residence situated in Weston, Connecticut.
