How to Utilize Preview to scan several pages into one PDF
- Make sure that the scanner has been connected to your Mac via an appropriate cable.
- Choose the Launchpad within the Dock of your Mac and search for Preview and then open the application.
- If Preview is open, click the File menu, then select Import from.
- If you don’t have any options at the top of your page, click”Show Details at the lower right.
- Choose pdf by clicking the Format dropdown that appears on the right.
- Look for the Combine into a single document option.
- Alter other options as necessary.
- Choose the scan preview to left side and Press Command + A from your keyboard. This will select the entire scan.
- Choose Scan at the end.
- Place the next page in the scanner, then choose Scan from Preview.

- Select File and choose Save to save the file.
- The camera should be pointed towards the document and click the shutter in order to take an image from the page.
- Edit the image using the sliders displayed on screen. Click Keep Scan at the bottom of the screen if you think the scan is good. If not then press Retake and take a fresh image from the webpage.
- Repeat the steps for all pages.
- Once all pages have been scanning, press Save in the lower-right corner.
- Scan the document you just scanned to open Notes.
- Tap the share icon on the top-right corner to share multiple pages of scanned pages into one PDF file.
