The only instance you’ve ever heard of of the term “Viking” is when someone is saying ‘roof like the Viking”, then you’re about to be in for a pleasant surprise. This RCA Viking Pro is a tablet made in the United States by Radio Corporation of America, an American electronics firm established by the year 1919.. The RCA Viking Pro might not be the first choice of tablet brand , but it’s definitely worth a look. It’s a low-cost device that is definitely worth trying – check out this review of the RCA 10-inch Viking Pro review to learn more about the device.
Key Features
This RCA tablet computer is an two-in-one Android tablet. After you remove it from the box is appears like it’s a mini laptop. The keyboard can be removed and there’s no accessory inside the box other than the charger (and it’s not even the case with accessories).
There are two versions – RCT6A03W13F1H and RCT6K03W13H. The second tab, launched in 2017 is an upgrade, with few minor changes.
The tab appears to be quite normal and it’s nothing unusual about it. The second model is slightly bigger than the first one However, they both have the same size display. Size of keyboard corresponds to what size the tab is. The keyboard isn’t the latest technology, but it does quite well for the cost.
Tab Tab
The back is made of plastic, but is quite durable and has a matte. On the sides, you will find buttons for power, the headphone connector, card slot mini HDMI port and an full-sized USB port, and a micro USB port to charge. The reset button as well as the volume controls are on the rear, which isn’t the norm, but it gets familiar with it.
The Keyboard
The keyboard is compatible to the tab, because of magnet (Magnalink) connectors. It’s slightly heavier that the tab which means it can be angled to position the screen according to your preferences without creating imbalance. It’s a normal keyboard, but it has the option of a touchpad – which means it functions as it’s a mini laptop.
The Software
The tab functions as every similar Android device. It is compatible with the majority of applications you can download from the Google Play Store. It comes with an FHD touchscreen that completely transforms to landscape orientation (even those on the navigation and home screens). The resolution and display are excellent, though the colours aren’t as vibrant. The bezels can be a bit bulky however the screen is sufficient for both watching videos and for working.
Its quad-core 1.3GHz processor works well, even with the weak RAM. The camera isn’t the best however, that’s likely not the reason you’d buy this gadget. Battery life on this device is excellent considering that it’s not an expensive product.
The Android upgrade for the latest model (RCT6A03W13F1H) gives a more user-friendly interface. The latest model is thinner and more attractive than the older model . The newer model is larger, it’s heavier as well. It’s also more expensive.
