Where Is RAM In Device Manager? (8 Ways To Find)

Note: While the value will appear in bytes (not gigabytes), it can still be converted to gigabytes.

Notice: A device with a form factor of 8 means that it has DIMM modules. These modules are frequently found on desktop computers.

If the number 12 is displayed, it means that your computer has SODIMM Modules. These are usually installed on laptops.

  • RAM Serial Number: “wmic memorychip get devicelocator, serialnumber”

Windows 10 PowerShell is the same as the control panels.

  2. You can enter the following command with no quotation marks in order to view all RAM properties. This includes its type and form factor as a well as its speed.
